Hamshire is an unincorporated community in western Jefferson County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Beaumont–Port Arthur Metropolitan Statistical Area and located on State Highway 124 twenty miles southwest of Beaumont. Wikipedia Hamshire-Fannett ISD is a Recognized 3A district that encompasses the communities of Cheek, Fannett, Hamshire, and LaBelle. There are approximately 1800 students attending Hamshire-Fannett High, Middle, Intermediate, and Elementary Schools. An excellent education is made possible for our students through the efforts of over 250 administrators, counselors, teachers, aides, secretaries, health professionals, bus drivers, maintenance and custodial workers, and food service workers.
